Dark Elements is a club for artists who enjoy the darker side.
If you like decaying trees, bats, wolves, winter, the moon, stars, rain, lightning, storms, dark clouds, night, forests, blood, and other dark and beautiful aspects of life then this is the group for you.

Hello everyone!

The contest is here and we have one entry so far. The contest is "An unusual darkness is coming", so get working on those entries [literature will be accepted]. Rules and other details are below. Also, if you can donate journal features or any other sort of prize, please send a note or give a comment letting us know what. And to avoid favoritism [and a popularity contest], this contest will be judged by a secret panel of judges for places 1st thru 3rd. There will also be a public choice voting poll for members to vote on their favourite. If you are interested in judging, please SEND A NOTE to the club. Judges will be kept anonymous so to avoid any harrassment or attempts of "buying" votes. Judges can't participate in the contest. However, they can donate if they wish to.

And please, if anyone would be so generous to donate us a new subscription, it would be greatly apprecitated. Our sub runs out in a few days. Donator[s] will be rewarded! I can make you jewelry or scrapbook journal or write you a story/poem or provide you with some exclusive stock from my stock account or even a photomanip. Please, it would be greatly appreciated if anyone can help out.

Just a reminder to ALL members of this club: Please, I ask, DO NOT send in more than one note asking to join or notes asking where your submittions are or notes with the same deviation in them. It takes away from our time trying to get things caught up! So, please, NO whining about where is your artwork or why we haven't updated the members list or anything like that, we will get things caught up as soon as we can. So please, have patience...and maybe a little appreciation toward the admin, for volunteering our PERSONAL free time to take care of this [and any other] club.

And on a small side note, for you who are interested, I am now in my 5 months of the pregnancy. I still don't know yet if it's a boy or girl, waiting on that sonogram still. Remember, I am trying to take it slower.

An Unusual Darkness Is Coming

Rules

[1]Starts August 1st and goes until 11:59:59 pm on September 30th of 2008.
[2]Entries must be new as of July 15th of 2008.
[3]You must be a member to participate.
[4]Entries can be visual or literature, as long as it fits the theme of An Unusual Darkness Is Coming.
[5]Judges may not participate in the contest. However, they can still donate prizes. Non-judging donators may participate in the contest. To do any of these, please send a note to the club.
[6]To enter, please send a note titled "Contest Submittion" to the club with a link in the note to your entry.
[7]Have fun and please play nicely.
